The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is aimed at those who wish to approach wine education for the first time.
During the course, various topics will be covered, including production basics, types of wine, main grape varieties, food pairings, storage and service, and tasting fundamentals.
Course Structure and Examination
The course is taught in Italian and lasts 7 hours.
It takes place on 2 evenings, from 18:00 to 22:00, and includes a final exam.
The final exam will be held at the end of the second evening under the supervision of a WSET representative.
The final exam lasts for 45 minutes and consists of 30 multiple-choice questions.
To pass the exam, it is necessary to answer at least 70% of the questions correctly.
Candidates who pass the exam receive the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines certificate and the lapel pin.
Exams will be graded by WSET Global in London, and results will be emailed in about four weeks.

No previous knowledge or study is required for this course and no paper textbook will be sent
